tuesday treats...and a very sleepy sweet pea ;0)xxxx

My new white cabinet- looks perfect in the lounge now...as much as i love natural wood i think white is true to my inner desires!...can you see little sweet pea asleep on my sofa after a busy day at pre-school-still trying to loose the dummy...and keep giving in when she wants it...im hoping the magic fairy might take it before the summer- its funny cos she never even thinks about her dummy all the time at pre-school but as soon as she's through the front door its "where's my dummy?".

I had a lovely trip on the bus across Dartmoor to Tavistock today with my mum...she treated me to a very large naughty hot choco with marsh mellows and cream!!!...which touched my lips and will spend a life time on my hips! hehehe!!...and the home made carrot cake was a very sinful too!!!...but thank u mum x

But as always the charity shops were filled with treasures!!!! so many i could not afford- getting very pricey!.
but i still managed to find some bargains and so did my mum. Best find was the Royal Doulton china ware with a very clarris cliff style!...very sweet. Its funny i bought the plates in one charity shop and then found the dish and larger plate in another charity. I also bought a few tops, photo frame with 'me to you' teddys and 'happy times' engraved and the knitted china mug.

Something to put inside the new cabinet...;0) enjoy your week lovely ladies xxxx

confuzzled with the new blogger....and sunday pleasures!

oh my days im not good with 'change'- has anyone else noticed the change with the uploading photos on here!!...bring back the old i say- its taken me ages to get my pic's in the right place- even the writing seems strange!! hehe.....oh well, HAPPY sunday all my dear bloggers!..hope your all having a peaceful one ;0)xx
I love the new book cabinet but should i paint it white?? ummmm...im a little puzzled about the lounge room...as the book shelf and new book cabinet are he same pine wood colour...but the huge cabinet behind where i took this piccy ive painted white...ummmmm...now confuzzled!...is it that im addicted to painting everything in the house white? Yes! i think thats the answer...dont look to closely at the sofa as sweet pea's had fun jumping all over it hehe...

grrrrrrrr im not liking this new format on blogger!!!!!.....its driving me crazzzy!!!!
below...the little ginger cat cushion i bought in Totnes in the Oxfam there- i must say there were alot of cheaper items in that Oxfam- so maybe my comments were abit harsh last week!....My brother and his wife came to visit for a few days and my mum took us all to Totnes- wonderful place with a great market square and alot of great shops for everything arty and vintage! We had a delicious meal in the Barrell House restaurant- and had a good catch up on lives and family- i do miss living close to my Essex roots and lovely brothers- my brothers 20 th wedding anniversary is comming up and he's just had his 40 th birthday! and he's now a grandad!!...amazing hey!! 10 years between us!. So lovely to see him and his wife x ;0) x

Ive been loving Julie Arkell's book...ive had it for a year!! but its such a wonderful book to get lost in with all the arty-crafty genius she is!!!...i found some of her exhibition photos on yahoo image.

Tummy bugs and Red Rabbits!

Its been one of those week ends when bed is best for all...My poor little sweet pea seems to be constantly ill this winter- think everytime she gets over one bug she gets hit by another- bless her little cotton socks- she doesnt look well at all....its turned so cold here again and living in an old house with high ceilings is hard to keep super warm!...i do have double glazing on all windows but still feels a drafty old house- hehe it does have its good points too...while sophia watches her favourite Cbeebies and huggles up to my duvet on the sofa i thought id do a little creating...i drew a simple rabbit shape and cut around it in felt ,sewing in white thread and adding buttons and vintage ribbon.I bought the strawberry pot in Tavistock yesturday...it was a freezing day there with light snow showers. This jar in one less well known charity was charging just a £1 for this sweet pot but when i went in Oxfam just around the corner it was over triple the price... I want to have a little 'Rant' beware hehe...but Oxfam is soooo expensive!!!!...i know its charity but charity is also meant for people on a low earning beable to afford the goods too- not really for the rich buying into the fashion of charity shops!...of course im not saying they cant shop in charity shops but the people that run these charity shops like Oxfam should realise that some people cannot afford to pay high street prices in a charity shop!!!!...ok...ok..i am sorry my rant is well and truely over ...well until next time ;0)xx... i dont mind paying a good price but not above its second hand worth!.

Red Rabbits...my little template about A5....red felt, white thread, vintage buttons and vintage ribbon.

Ive had a little sort out on the shelflings too...grouping each thing in colour and object. Top shelf right my vintage doggys and beach hut and holiday inspired cards framed and a few little vintage deers. Shelf below Angel inspired... including cupcakes and vintage mice...shelf below that more a mish mash of vintage and funky!...then a whole shelf dedicated to books!! mainly craft books, textile books and country living mags!!...All in all looks alot more tidier in a kazzy kinda way! hehe ;0)xxxx when clutter is creative!! heehee love that saying!! ;0)xxxx
Sitting next to my sweet hand made dolly that my beautiful twin bought me is a smaller doll from Tavistock...her detail in her coat is like little mice have sewn the edging and added the mini buttons...maybe they did?. My camera quality does not do it justice. A thank you to my mum and twinny for a lovely day yesturday and to my step dad for driving- despite the bitter cold myself and sweet pea enjoyed our trip out....and she loves her new 'boogie boogie' book and c.d mum and her big funky fish stickers twinny!!-they're all called Nemo! ;0)xxxx
p.s thanks lovely ladies who want to take part in swapsie! all your names will be added to a tea cup tomorrow and i'll tell you the winner in my next post! ;0)xxxx good luck ;0)xxxx
